After growing up in the suburbs of Birmingham, Brandon Stegall saw the world with the U.S. Army before embarking on a nearly three-decade career in the lawn and landscape industry. Now, he brings his unique blend of discipline, leadership, and hands-on experience to Michael Hatcher & Associates as Region Manager, Sales.

Brandon Stegall 1“I’m most looking forward to mentoring and growing my team,” said Brandon, who will have responsibilities in the teams in the Huntsville and Memphis markets (South Region) and report to Chief Operating Officer Darrin Hockstra.

It’s work he’s familiar with, both in the military and private sector.

“Eleven days after (high school) graduation, I left for the Army as a Military Police Officer, where I spent the next six years traveling the world and ended my time in the military as a Sergeant,” Brandon said. “I have spent the last 26 years in the green industry, and 20 years of that was with the same company in Atlanta, where I was the Director of Sales & Marketing. In 2019, I made my way back to Birmingham, where I have worked in the green industry as a Business Development Manager and Regional Operations Manager with a national company.”

Brandon holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from American Intercontinental University and a Pesticide Applicator License in the state of Georgia. He’s also attended numerous leadership courses, including the Primary Leadership Disciple Course in Grafenwoehr, Germany, and the Wood Badge Leadership Course in Gainesville, Georgia.

He continues to call Alabama home, where he lives with his wife, Amber, a nurse at Children’s of Alabama, and their 17-year-old son Will, a high school senior. They also have an adult son, Travis, who works in IT in Indianapolis, two cats they call Meowers and Jazzy, and a hyper Boxer puppy named Drella.

Together with his family, “We enjoy cooking, football, and the outdoors,” Brandon said, adding that MHA is “a family-oriented team that has a great culture.”

Welcome to the Team, Brandon!
