Assistant Controller

About the position:

As an assistant Controller, you will cover a crucial part of our company’s finance team. You will be involved in all aspects of accounting: billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses. You will work closely with upper management and report to the Chief Financial Officer.
What you’ll do:

  • Prepare financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status.
  • Enter in all Accounts Payables
  • Produce and manage balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses.
  • Assist with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.
  • Assist with preparations for reviews/audits.
  • Work to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
  • Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
  • Use accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Coordinate with and prepares reports for CFO and upper management.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Administer credit and collection policies and procedures with the goal of maintaining an average age of receivables of less than 30 days
  • Identify, develop, and monitor KPIs

What your schedule will be:

Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Other Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in accounting
  • CPA preferred
